Tamara James Day

One thing I am big on is supporting those who support me.

Tamara James is the current Mayor of Dania Beach and a former WNBA player, whom I've had the pleasure of competing with in basketball tournaments and leagues within South Florida. She holds her annual "Tamara James Day" to give back to the community, along with helping to prepare the children for a successful school year with free backpack.

I came out on this day was blessed with the opportunity to help teach the children in the basketball clinic at this great community event. I even had the pleasure of running into the legendary Coach Abby Ward, who is one of THE GREATEST high school basketball coaches in history, and Tamara's former highs school coach.

There was so much greatness in one setting for a day filled with fun and giving back to unite the community and uplift the youth. I look forward to continuing to participate in the Annual Tamara James Day each year. It is truly a blessing to be able to be apart of something much bigger than myself. This is why I do what I do. It's not about me, but about those who come after me. It was truly a pleasure.
